Details
20ft open top containers are specifically designed to transport cargo that needs to be loaded from the top rather than via the end doors. This might be by crane, when loading cargo such as marble or large sheets of glass, or raw materials such as coal that are loaded using a tipper. It makes for a quick and simple loading and unloading process.
Open hard top containers are manufactured as standard but without a roof. They are supplied instead with a separate steel lid – the hard top – that can be positioned in place or removed using a forklift or crane.
A 20ft open top container is also ideal for ‘out of gauge’ cargo, such as large machinery or equipment, that exceeds the height of a standard container.
